1935 sept 3rd labor day hurricane hits approx 45 miles to the south with 150mph winds
1945 sept 15th gusts to 135mph while moving N.W press 28.09,some gusts could have been up to 195mph due to damage to steel structures storm surge 14 ft at cutler ridge 4 dead in florida ,heavy crop damage,Homestead AFB press 28.08 Newpaper Headline

1992 Hurricane Andrew area
had total devestation ground zero aug 24 165mph gusts to 180mph 90% mobile homes destroyed 16 ft storm surge at coast.
