1966 sept 29th hurricane Inez hits with 115mph winds,1,000 killed another 1,100 washed up on the beach after the hurricane. Total devestation after hitting around 2 to 4 PM AST. newspaper headline
1994 tropical storm Gordon despite being 100 miles to the west dumped heavy rain here killing over 1000 in Haiti
