winds causing heavy damage 1933 a cat 1 hits with 80mph winds causing
moderate damage 1935 a cat 3 with 115mph winds hits from the south causing
heavy damage 1944 thousands left homeless in northern areas 1950 hurricane king oct 16th 60 miles to the west dumps 25 inches of rain over a 2 day period causing heavy flooding 1951 hurricane charlie 100mph just south aug 18th kills 154 in jamaica,50,000 homeless. 1980 hurricane Allen kills 3 here from gusts to 100mph allen was
35 miles to the north when passing with 135mph winds causing heavy damage to the
area. Damage photo 1988 hurricane Gilbert hits from the east with 115mph winds montego bay

2004 ,sept 11th hit by Hurricane Ivan with 155mph winds moving approx 60 miles to the south with Ivan having a wind field approx 85 miles out. Moderate damage in this area.
