areas hurricane past 1873 Sept 19th rated as a cat 1 with 75mph winds from the S.W but heavy damage reported in Tallahassee. 1877 Oct 3rd from the SSW passes just west with 90mph winds. 1880 Aug 31st 80mph from the ESE just south. 1886 june 21st just east of here from the south ,winds 95mph several killed. 1886 June 30th, 85mph just west from the SW 1894 Oct 9th,110mph to the west from the WSW 1898 Aug 2nd 80mph from the S.E just south 1899 Aug 1st a hurricane hits with 90mph winds from the SSE killing 6,many
boats lost since,a very small hurricane press 28.90 . 1939 Aug 13th just south while moving WNW with 80mph winds. 1941 oct 7th 75mph press 29.00 8 ft storm surge 5 killed from the south. 1966 June 9th hurricane Alma hits from the south with 75mph winds. 1985 Nov 21st hurricane Kate hits just west with 90mph winds from the S.W
