Hurricane Michael, October 10th (45 deaths attributed to Michael as of October 31st, 2018)

  • Panama City, east of St. Andrew Bay: Devastation from category 4 winds.| NWS Tallahassee final reports
  • Mexico Beach: Total devastation from storm surge.

Hurricane Florence, September 14th (death toll 27 as of September 20th, 2018)

  • North Carolina: 950,000 left without power in immediate aftermath.
  • Wilmington, North Carolina: Mother & infant child killed as tree hits home. Several towns northwest of Wilmington flooded.
  • Pender County, North Carolina: Woman dies from heart attack.
  • Lenoir County, North Carolina: WITN is reporting two people were killed. The media outlet said a 78-year-old man was electrocuted while he was trying to connect two extension cords in the rain. Another 78-year-old man was found dead at his home, according to WITN. It is believed he died after he was blown down while going outside to check on his dogs.
