The tourist hotels in the area as of 2001 are suffering & a hurricane could perminantly close them down for good.(1200 hotel rooms in the whole country) Haiti has the third highest rate of Hunger in the world.Can take a whole day to drive 60 miles after heavy rains, due to mudslides.
