1999 oct 20th hurricane Jose hits direct with 100mph winds.Many homes damaged unconfirmed reports well over 100mph winds press 29.05 moving N.W @ 12mph.Sustained near 80mph.
2014 Oct 13th Gonzalo become s ahurricane while passing over the island with 75mph winds.A one minute sustained wind of 67kts with a gust to 78kt /992.2mb was observed at Bird International Airport. NHC final report
