1955 Sept 23rd Hurricane Janet hits with 115mph winds while moving west,heavy damage,
1963 Oct 1st Hurricane Flora pummels the area with 125mph winds.
2004 Sept 8th Hurricane Ivan devestates the island with 130mph winds while moving west.
2005 July 14th Hurricane Emily hits with 90mph winds causing sporadic damage in areas already hit hard by Ivan the year before.
