Wayne is also a forecaster at the department of Meteorology in the Bahamas with extensive knowledge of the island's hurricane history watch (1hr 23 min) | subscribe On May 7th through the 14th I will be in Virginia Beach and Norfolk,Virginia . Norfolk and the surrounding areas are not ranked in the top 50 most affected areas in the Atlantic basin. The area is affected by a named storm every 3.24 years and by a hurricane every 19.58 years. I will continue to feature random cities until Hurricane season begins on June 1st,at that time I will release my city predictions for which cities I think will be impacted this year.
When Hurricanes are within 100 miles of land the Tracking chart will be zoomed in. Tracking software is courtesy of Starstone Software & edited by Hurricanecity. We will call you for info if your area is threatened or hit! During severe weather events which include Tornado disasters & Hurricanes making landfall nationwide, we may be "live" covering the event. When major Hurricanes make landfall in the U.S we will be live around the time warnings are issued until conditions subside . The shows consist of network radio simulcast's,ham radio,noaa weather radio as well as the host Jim Williams taking telephone calls from listeners in harms way. Jim will have internet telestrations of radar, models and Satellite images. Most of the time we will try to alert visitors of times that broadcasts will take place & sometimes it's on the fly with no warning. We recorded local news coverage showing videos that viewers sent in. watch On Friday night March 14th,2008 Atlanta,Georgia was hit by an EF2 tornado with winds up to 135mph. We recorded scanner audio of Atlanta firefighters and georgia search and rescue teams looking for survivors. If you have never heard these people in action you must listen to this clip. They have dangerous jobs as you will hear one firefighter injured while working in a collapsed building. This clip is about 20 min long and available to subscribers here A Blizzard affected most of Ohio on Saturday March 8th,2008. We recorded the most interesting webcam shots along with radio & scanner feeds.
